When we initially carried out work for this client it was as a sub-contractor to a large construction company. The project was difficult in terms of access and with working at height it meant additional safety measures had to be applied with hoisting our preparation and mixing equipment to the workforce.
Our team of professional floor layers undertook the assignment with minimal issue and provided a quality resin floor on time and within the budget. The end client was extremely impressed with our attitude and application on site that he asked for our contact details. Over the years they had employed numerous resin flooring contractors but had not felt entirely comfortable with any of them working in their pharmaceutical environment.
When the next project came up for tender, we were invited to provide our solution and price and were delighted to win the work. This was over twelve years ago and our relationship with the client has strengthened throughout this time as we have undertaken some very intricate flooring system installations.
On the larger flooring projects our technical team have selected the use of Flowcrete self-smoothening products. These are mainly applied in the Clean Rooms and Production Facilities. A number of assignments at this client are carried out at weekends or during out of hours in the week and the relationship allows us to access site to carry out our work with no supervision as our operatives are Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme accredited. Our longstanding relationship with this client allows for flexibility and we are often called in to undertake work at short notice.

Solution: Double prime a lay an epoxy self-smoothening floor, apply two coats of polyurethane matt seal coat
Additional: Cut and reinstate floor joints with a polyurethane jointing compound
