Joint Repair and Epoxy Coating
A 30mm wide crack had appeared in the client’s factory floor, as a result of a defective concrete floor slab that had separated and worsened over a 4-year period. Our installation team broke out the damaged areas of the floor, which ran across the width of the building, and the area was primed and infilled with a high-strength epoxy mortar. Following this, the entire floor area was prepared through light grinding and sanding, and a high-build epoxy coating, was installed, resulting in a slip-resistant, high-gloss finish to the floor.
Floor joints were then precision-cut and installed with a flexible jointing compound.
The goods in/goods out area of the factory was bare concrete and was exhibiting excessive dusting. The floor was prepared by mechanical dust-extracted, diamond-grinding, and two coats of a water-based acrylic floor sealer were installed.
Throughout the project, there was clear communication between the client and the installation team. The client was thrilled with the final results – a clean finish, minimal disruption to operations, and a brand new factory floor which will last for many years.
