Farming and CIP Rooms

Installing suitable flooring that maintains the highest levels of hygiene in dairies and clean-in-place rooms will ensure EC regulations and HACCP standards are met.

Key considerations:

HACCP Compliance – Food safety management should be based in HACCP principles, ensuring risks are removed or reduced to safe levels.

Hygiene – Reduce the risk of contamination by sealing off the milking parlour and C-I-P rooms and using screeds and coatings with antimicrobial properties.

Durability – Hot water, an intense cleaning schedule and harsh cleaning chemicals designed to minimise bacteria growth may in time erode a substandard floor and lead to cracks and pores.

Drainage – Essential for preventing the pooling of waste, milk and acetic acids which in time could erode the floor.  Repairs can be made or new bespoke or modular stainless-steel systems can be installed.

Joints – Install seamless flooring and coving to prevent the build-up of bacteria and assist with more effective cleaning.

Traffic – Heavy machinery, animal and human traffic will scuff, stain and eventually damage a poorly maintained floor.

Slip Resistant – Spillages and cleaning can lead to hazards. Applying resin products with slip-resistant properties will aid in the prevention of slips and falls.
